Sereia Restaurant is one of the gastronomic references of Santa Cruz das Flores, the capital of Flores, where traditional Azorean cuisine gains expression in a welcoming and family atmosphere that reflects the hospitality characteristic of the people of the western group islands of the archipelago. The menu is based on fresh products from the sea and the Flores land, with emphasis on fresh fish and seafood caught in the surrounding Atlantic waters.
The most appreciated dishes include tuna in different preparations, grilled grouper, limpets ร la Azorean and fish soups that comfort after a day of hiking and exploring the island. The meat menu also does not disappoint, with local meats prepared in traditional ways. Prices are reasonable for the quality offered, with complete meals around 15 to 20 euros per person. Booking is recommended during peak season (July to September).
After dinner at Sereia, explore the historic centre of Santa Cruz das Flores and do not miss a visit to the Flores Museum, which tells the history of this Atlantic island with ethnography and natural history collections.
