Restaurante Traineira is the most emblematic dining establishment on Corvo and a true reflection of the gastronomic identity of this small Atlantic island. Located in the heart of Vila do Corvo, the Traineira operates on a family basis and presents a menu rooted in Azorean tradition, with emphasis on fresh fish of the day — swordfish, tuna, grouper and sea bream frequently appear on the menu — prepared simply and honestly, grilled or cooked with local sweet potato and cabbage. Corvian fish broth is a cult dish among attentive visitors.

Prices are accessible by Azorean standards: a main fish dish costs between 10 and 16 €, including sides. The wine list is short but includes some Azores wine references, notably from Pico, and some mainland options. Early booking is strongly recommended, especially in the summer months (July-September) and during birdwatching season (October-November), when the island receives a significant number of visitors relative to its limited capacity.
